About the role

The Manager Data Integrity and Governance leads the development and implementation of data governance and data integrity frameworks for state wide data collections managed by the System Information and Analytics Branch. The role ensures data is consistently defined, assured and governed so it is trusted, fit for purpose and safe for operational, performance, policy and statutory reporting across the NSW Health system. The role provides strategic advice, drives system wide adoption of data standards and governance practices, and oversees data collection change and governance processes, including representation in national data standards forums.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead system level data governance and integrity assurance for SIA managed state wide data collections to ensure data is trusted, consistent and fit for purpose.
  • Develop, implement and maintain data standards, definitions, policies, metadata and governance frameworks, including managing end to end data collection change.
  • Design and operate data integrity controls and assurance processes, providing reporting on data quality trends, risks and priorities to senior leaders and governance forums.
  • Provide expert strategic advice and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including representing NSW Health in national data standards forums.

 


About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading data governance, data integrity or data quality assurance activities for complex, large scale data collections within a multi stakeholder environment.
  • Proven capability to develop, implement and maintain data standards, definitions, policies and governance frameworks to ensure data is trusted and fit for purpose.
  • Strong experience managing data integrity controls and end to end data collection change, including impact assessment, stakeholder consultation and governance processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience providing expert strategic advice, influencing stakeholders, and managing teams to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes, quality standards and budgets.
