About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cancer Services and Innovation Manager (CSIM) to join us in this critical leadership role to drive strategic, high-quality and coordinated cancer care across Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).

As the CSIM, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic leadership and advice to MLHD cancer services teams, aligning plans with the NSW Cancer Plan goals and objectives.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to enhance cancer services, including redesign and quality improvement programs tailored to rural communities.
  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including primary care, community providers, and Cancer Institute NSW (CINSW), to foster coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
  • Monitoring and evaluating cancer service performance, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and continuous improvement.
  • Representing MLHD at strategic meetings and networks to promote collaborative, evidence-based cancer service delivery.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in cancer services, health leadership or healthcare management
  • Strong strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and change management skills
  • Values centred around collaboration, innovation and quality improvement
  • Passion and dedication to ensuring equitable access to high-quality care in regional and rural communities
