The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Allied Health and Aged Care Manager to provide operational, professional and clinical leadership across Allied Health and Commonwealth-funded aged care services within Primary Care and Community Health.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee service delivery, clinical governance, workforce leadership, quality improvement and risk management to ensure the provision of safe, effective and person-centred care. You will be responsible for the operational management of aged care programs, ensuring compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, funding agreements and legislative requirements, while driving excellence in service delivery and client outcomes.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, you will lead the continuous improvement of Allied Health and aged care services, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and high professional standards. Your leadership will support the delivery of quality community-based services that enhance the health, wellbeing and independence of our clients.

What you will bring to the role
- Qualified Allied Health professional with current AHPRA registration or eligibility for professional membership with the relevant National body should the profession not be registered with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated relevant extensive leadership experience, with a proven ability to develop and maintain a competent and cohesive Allied Health unit, incorporating different disciplines and occupational groups
- Demonstrated capacity to lead a multidisciplinary unit within a complex environment, evidenced through the use of highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources effectively and efficiently to meet budget and performance targets for Allied Health and Commonwealth Aged Care programs in a Community Health Care environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse clinical services and lead the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based best practice and contemporary models of care within Allied Health services that are person-centred and consider diversity, wellness, reablement and patient flow within the whole of health and social service systems.
- Ability to develop collaborative partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and compliant service provision.
- Extensive experience and skills in policy development, planning and evaluation, financial management, clinical governance, change management and service development for Allied Health and Aged Care programs.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites and facilities across a large geographic area, which may include overnight stays.
