NBMLHD is seeking a proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day to day maintenance operations across our facilities. This role is responsible for supervising trade staff and contractors, managing work orders through the AFM online system, and ensuring all maintenance activities align with NBMLHD policies and relevant legislation. You will coordinate preventative and statutory maintenance programs, support accreditation and audit processes, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders. The role also involves managing stock levels, ensuring equipment availability, and assisting in the development of lifecycle replacement plans. A key part of this position includes participating in a 24/7 rotating on call roster to ensure continuous support for facility operations.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Membership of the Institute of Hospital Engineering, Australia - NSW Branch Engineering or other Trade qualifications relevant to the position.
  2. Demonstrated work experience in the facilities/asset management industry, with extensive Mechanical, HVAC and/or Electrical experience
  3. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal & written communication skills
  4. Demonstrated skills in problem solving and decision making and understanding of clinical requirements of a health care environment, or that of a critical infrastructure environment.
  5. Proven ability to inspire and motivate staff, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage day to day staffing issues.
  6. Demonstrated management and supervisory skills with a varied and diverse staff group
  7. Proficient Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook,Word and Excel),significant experience in use of a Computerised Maintenance Management System(CMMS) and BMS(Building Management System)
  8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
