An exciting Temporary Full Time position (job share to be considered) has opened up for an experience Dietitian to join the Gastro surgical services within Nepean Hospital. You will provide evidence based clinical nutritional care of clients with gastrointestinal disorders across NBMLHD.

The successful incumbent will monitor, review and develop relevant clinical nutrition policies and protocols an use advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing clinical cases. This role will also see you will provide supervision and support to our Level 1 - 3 Dietitians across NBMLHD and assists in co-ordination of Dietetic student placements and supervision.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Australia.
  2. Extensive clinical experience and expertise in the nutritional management of patients with complex gastrointestinal disease and surgery.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently, build networks and function at high levels as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and teaching skills including well developed skills in advocacy, negotiation and in the provision of clinical supervision to dietitians and students.
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead and complete quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
  6. Demonstrated ability to contribute to service management via review of service provision, practice development and/or redesign to improve services, operations and outcomes
  7. Current NSW drivers licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
