The Opportunity

Looking for an opportunity to contribute to healthcare in NSW?
Join us at HealthShare NSW as a Leading Hand in our Linen Services team.

Based at our large linen production facility in Parramatta, you’ll play a hands-on role in sorting, ironing, folding, packing, and loading and unloading washers and dryers, while ensuring machinery is maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.

As Leading Hand, you will oversee the efficient operation of the sorting area, providing guidance to staff and ensuring productivity and quality targets are met. 

To succeed in this role, you will have considerable experience in laundry production and the operation of laundry machinery, proven experience as a Leading Hand or Team Leader, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency and be available for day shift, Monday through Friday 6am - 2:30pm each day.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description

  • Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa

  • This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines. During application, please upload OASV Undertaking/Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool with any vaccination evidence you have

  • If you are identified as a preferred candidate and are external to HealthShare NSW, you will be required to complete a physical pre-employment health assessment (at no cost to you) to confirm your ability to safely perform the duties of the role.
