The Opportunity 

We are looking for a Leading Hand in Food Services at Fairfield Hospital.

Working across a rotating seven-day roster, you will be responsible for order taking, meal assembly, meal preparation and distribution of patient meals, recording intake, dishwashing, and other associated cleaning duties. You'll need to work well in a collaborative environment and show initiative as you serve NSW Health hospital patients to ensure an optimal service.

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a customer focus approach. 

  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills in the use of electronic devices and applications to record information with effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to learn basic knowledge of food safety and work health and safety principles, any previous experience would be highly regarded.

  • Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa.
  • This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines.
