About the Role
The Junior Medical Officer (JMO) Unit at Coffs Harbour Health Campus is an award-winning, dynamic hub dedicated to nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.
The JMO Manager position is responsible for managing and providing administrative support for the non-specialist medical workforce of Coffs Clinical Network. The JMO Manager is responsible for all aspects of HR Management including workforce planning, recruitment and retaining junior medical officers and assisting Junior Medical Officers in developing a successful career.
Capacity to undertake performance appraisal of staff and ability to develop performance measures and to support and supervise the administrative officer for the JMO Unit.
Collaborative communication networks with all disciplines across the CCN, external service providers, Medical Administration Units within the MNCLHD and other NSW Health LHDs –including scheduling and attending regular forums for JMOs including the general Clinical Training Committee (GCTC), the Network 13 GCTC and the State-wide JMO Managers' Forum and other network meetings where necessary. Assist in the monitoring and response to IIMs notifications and complaints as they apply to JMOs. Managing and implementing appropriate processes relating to medical staff leave requests and attendance, including the recording of leave and ensuring ADO processes are adhered to and monitored.
Assisting medical staff with payroll enquiries, undertaking random audits of overtime claims, payroll sign off capabilities in HealthRoster and maintenance and use of RUM (Roster Unit Module). Actively promotes and participates in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs and engages in practices that promote the best possible health outcomes for patients/clients, and supports a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation.
About you
Do you have relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience and effective communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
