We’re looking for a passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly Emergency Department team, where you’ll have the opportunity to provide advanced care and help shape the future of clinical practice in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As a Nurse Practitioner within our Emergency Department team, you will function both autonomously and collaboratively to provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department. Your responsibilities will include conducting focused assessments, managing patient care using advanced knowledge and skills, ordering diagnostic investigations, prescribing medications, and referring patients to other health professionals as required.

 

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will lead the development of clinical practice, utilising research to inform education programs, clinical services planning, and the creation of clinical practice standards. You will be a senior nursing clinician, serving as a key resource for the Emergency Department team, and will work closely with the Nurse Manager, Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Educator, and Director of the Emergency Department to ensure optimal patient care. The successful candidate will be committed to providing innovative and flexible healthcare, grounded in nursing values, and ensuring timely and high-quality care within a collaborative team environment.

 

This position will cover Wollongong Hospital, Shellharbour Hospital, and Shoalhaven Hospital Emergency Departments.
