Digital Solutions and Interoperability Team within Digital Health Services (DHS)

What you'll be doing
The Integration Specialist role is part of the Digital Solutions and Interoperability Team within Digital Health Services (DHS). This position is a Northern Sydney (NS) & Central Coast (CC) Local Health District (LHD) wide position and services all sites within.     
The team provides: 
 

  • eMR Management – development, support and maintenance.  
  • Oversees Application lifecycle, including development, implementation and support for Digital Health platforms.
  • Application governance for all Digital Health Solutions/applications.
  • Solution Design and development using new technologies.
  • Expert consultation for Single Digital Patient Record preparedness for business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Project Management expertise for Digital Health Services Team.
  • Other responsibilities would include Risk Management, Vendor Management, collaboration with internal DHS teams for training, change management and security & compliance.


The Integration Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing activities that support the integration of clinical applications and systems across NSW Health. This role is critical in ensuring reliable and secure message flow, adherence to data standards, and consistency across multiple Local Health Districts. 
  
In addition, this role is responsible for development, maintenance, and support of integration platforms such as Open Engine, API Web Services, MuleSoft, Rhapsody and MIRTH. The role also provides second-level support, daily system maintenance, and contributes to the ongoing development of integration-related applications within Digital Health Solutions.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Extensive experience in planning, developing, coordination, implementation and maintaining data integration solutions in a large and complex organisation, including relevant qualifications or equivalent. This includes responsibility for business process analysis, message integration data modelling, gap analysis studies, and writing business and technical documentation.
  2. Well-developed technical skills working across a range of web, server, database, mobile and integration languages and technologies, preferably Rhapsody, MuleSoft, .Net, NodeJS, Java.
  3. Highly developed problem-solving skills including the ability to resolve complex incidents that impact on the program in a timely and efficient manner that meets SLA requirements. This includes analysing the incident, development of potential solutions and providing specialist advice and recommendations.
