- The Integration and Database Analyst is responsible for delivering industry-standard integration and messaging solutions that conform to effective design, interoperability and business principles that support SWSLHD requirements.
- The position is also responsible for managing the full lifecycle of a database system — from installation and configuration to performance tuning, security, and recovery. They ensure data integrity, uptime, and efficient access across all environments within SWSLHD.
- The incumbent must also undertake evaluations of technologies and solutions, and recommendations on those findings, and be able to work as an effective part of the Integration and Applications team, undertaking other, relevant, technical and Database related tasks as required.

- Proven extensive experience of working with integration platforms, and standards like HL7 v2.x. and FHIR, and knowledge of integration patterns.
- Ensures that all SWSLHDs data is secure, available, and high-performing. responsibilities span from Database installation, security, performance tuning, backups, monitoring, and collaboration across teams.
- Demonstrated experience of software development processes, testing and documentation of test plans, change control management and version control processes.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in MS- SQL Server using SSMS, stored procedures, writing complex queries, implementing and automating SSIS packages (by developing the solution in Visual Studio 2019 or higher). Experience in linking MS-SQL Server with other and different databases (e.g. Oracle, Sybase, etc.).
Selection Criteria

- Relevant Tertiary qualifications or equivalent and demonstrated experience in software development and Integration Technologies in a Healthcare setting or complex service industry organization
- Describe your experience managing databases across a complex organization your strategy for monitoring and alerting across hundreds of database instances
- Demonstrated experience of software development processes, testing and documentation of test plans, change control management and version control processes
Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
