Clinical Nurse Specialist Gde 2: $64.71 to $66.84 per hour
Counsellor Lvl 3: $61.31 to $63.30 per hour
Occupational Therapist Lvl 3: $61.31 to $63.30 per hour
Psychologist: $42.20 to $61.76 per hour
Social Worker Lvl 3: $61.31 to $63.30 per hour
Welfare Off Lvl 3: $61.31 to $63.30 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38

What you'll be doing
The AOD Intake and Care Coordination Clinician delivers high level guidance, information, advice, referrals and care planning to clients and their families/carers accessing AOD services at initial referral and at transfer of care as required. The role actively contributes to improve intake and initial assessment processes to enhance system navigation, ensures clients needs are adequately assessed, and supports connection to the most appropriate services.
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary Qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist OR Tertiary Qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership for relevant professional association.
- Demonstrated evidence of extensive experience in the assessment, care planning and treatment of clients with alcohol and other drugs issues.
- Demonstrated understanding of the broad health and social impact of substance use and dependence, and commitment to using a harm minimisation approach to working with people with substance use.
- Demonstrated advanced reasoning and clinical judgement and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with clients, their families and carers, as well as with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development, and a commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
