Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented ICT professional ready to make their mark on healthcare infrastructure across regional NSW.
About the role:
Join Murrumbidgee Local Health District as an ICT Project & Telecommunications Site Officer, where you'll provide oversight and assurance across multiple hospital redevelopment and refurbishment projects. This is a hands-on, project-based role that sits at the intersection of ICT, construction, and healthcare delivery, ensuring that critical infrastructure is installed to the highest standard so that our facilities are ready to serve communities from day one.
As the ICT Project & Telecommunications Site Officer, you will be responsible for:
Provide on-site ICT representation and oversight across multiple hospital redevelopment project sites within the district.
Lead requirements gathering, analysis and design support for assigned ICT redevelopments.
Coordinate and oversee contractor on-site activities, including assisting with inductions and monitoring works.
Ensure correct installation of telecommunications equipment, data cabling and wired/wireless network solutions, verifying all work aligns with architectural specifications.
Support commissioning, testing and handover activities to ensure ICT infrastructure is fully operational prior to project completion.
Maintain strict compliance with NSW Health Facility standards, documentation and Quality Assurance processes.
Provide periodic progress reporting, highlighting key issues, risks, constraints and dependencies to stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate will:
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT or telecommunications or bring equivalent hands-on experience with prior exposure to healthcare ICT or TSSO/TSO environments highly regarded.
Bring demonstrated expertise in telecommunications, network technologies and ICT systems, with the ability to apply this knowledge confidently across varied site environments.
Be an experienced ICT project professional who has delivered installations and deployments across complex, geographically dispersed environments.
Be a confident communicator and relationship builder, able to work effectively with contractors, vendors, project managers and internal stakeholders.
Hold a current White Card and unrestricted Class C driver's licence (P2 acceptable) and be willing to travel across the district.
