About the Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of great team within NSW Health Pathology where you will be exposed to a broad scope of experiences to build on your current HR skills and experiences including industrial matters, capability building, coaching of managers and be involved in the facilitation of L&D programs. The position will work across a number of LHDs in metropolitan Sydney.
What you'll be doing
The Senior HR Consultant is responsible for a diverse range of Human Resource (HR) functions including providing general HR advice, coaching and consultancy services to support managers and staff. Work proactively with the Associate Director, Human Resources to drive the implementation of strategic, transformational and cultural workforce initiatives across NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP).

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent work experience in workforce management, employee relations, employment law, or other relevant field, in a large and diverse organisation.
- Proven experience in providing practical HR advice and consultancy services, and appropriate application of relevant employment and industrial relations legislation, State Awards and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers through highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to influence and sound coaching skills.
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities and demands in a multidisciplinary work environment.
- Proven effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare complex written documents including briefs and reports.
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to accurately identify HR issues and clearly outline business implications to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated proficient computer literacy, Microsoft Office applications, payroll/HRIS systems including the ability to manipulate data into reports and spreadsheets and/or demonstrated capability to develop such knowledge.
