About the role

• Perform a variety of routine and specialised haemostasis and haematology tests (including haemoglobin studies), contributing to accurate and timely diagnostics.

• Monitor quality control performance, participate in external QA programs, and assist with internal audits to ensure high standards and compliance.

• Maintain laboratory equipment, manage reagent and consumable stock levels, and coordinate specimen referrals and report tracking with external labs.

• Communicate effectively with clinicians, wards, and external sites, ensuring urgent or critical results are delivered promptly and clearly.

• Work as part of a supportive team, participate in ongoing training and education sessions, apply analytical thinking to solve complex lab issues, and stay current with best practices in pathology.

About you

• You’ve got a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent), with a solid foundation in haematology and haemostasis from a recognised tertiary institution.

• You bring recent, hands-on experience in haemostasis testing—bonus points if you’ve worked with platelet aggregation and haemoglobin studies too!

• You’re comfortable navigating lab IT systems—tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and ready to troubleshoot when needed.

• You’re a self-starter who can confidently work independently but also thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment.

• You’ve got strong communication skills—clear, professional, and confident, whether you’re documenting results or chatting with colleagues.
