What you'll be doing 
As the Hospital in the Home (HITH) Data Administration Officer, you will play an essential role in ensuring the timely, accurate and compliant management of patient information across admitted and non-admitted HITH episodes of care.

 

You will provide high-level administrative support to clinicians, maintain data integrity across critical patient administration systems and produce meaningful activity reporting that supports informed operational decision-making.

·       Coordinate accurate patient registration, transfer and discharge processes within the WSLHD Patient Administration System (iPM)

·       Maintain HITH patient records and ensure timely recording of non-admitted outpatient occasions of service

·       Prepare and submit HITH activity reports to management and executive stakeholders to support service monitoring

·       Deliver orientation, education and ongoing administrative systems support to HITH clinicians and staff

·       Identify data issues, manage reporting discrepancies and contribute to continuous system and process improvements

Selection Criteria: 

1.     Demonstrated, well-developed clerical skills and experience in an administrative officer / ward clerk role with a working knowledge of hospital / health care clerical procedures

2.     Demonstrated experience, expertise and accuracy in data entry and specifically, experience with or an enthusiasm to learn the management of Admitted and Non-Admitted patient data entry and management in the WSLHD Patient Administration System – iPM

3.     Demonstrated experience in the management of patient medical records in a hospital / health care environment

4.     Demonstrated excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills

5.     Demonstrated effective communication skills both verbal and written, including the provision of service reports

6.     Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiate

7.     Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with staff and relevant stakeholders.

8.     NSW Driver Licence
