About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cleaner to join our hospital Cleaning Services team. In this important role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

This position is primarily focused on maintaining external hospital areas, including pathways, courtyards, carparks and stairwells, as well as managing external bins and graffiti removal. Each shift also includes assisting with waste and linen collection and supporting internal cleaning duties.
 

In this role, you’ll:

  • Clean and maintain external areas of the hospital, including courtyards, carparks, pathways and stairwells.
  • Manage external waste bins and assist with graffiti removal.
  • Contribute to internal cleaning duties as required.
  • Assist with waste and linen collection during rostered shifts.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

 

About You

You’re a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards. You’re physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in all seasons, and take pride in contributing to a safe and hygienic hospital environment.
 

You must have:

  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor conditions year-round (PPE and uniforms provided).
  • A strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

 

It is highly desirable to have experience with:

  • High-pressure hose equipment.
  • Leaf blowers.
  • Carpet cleaners.
  • Floor scrubbers.
