Where you'll be working

Ryde Hospital, Environmental Services
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
What you'll be doing
You will be rostered on various shifts (morning, afternoon, night) and will be working across the Hospital covering different wards and departments as per service plan and daily work allocation list. You will be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties in clinical and non-clinical areas. Cleaning duties involve cleaning of surfaces, fittings, fixtures and furniture and may involve the use of electrical equipment and other equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, ladders or scrubbers. Cleaning duties also involve cleaning in immediate patient environments and may involve the cleaning of infectious or isolation rooms, including removal of bags of soiled linen and waste to the collection points, and other manual handling tasks.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Previous experience as a cleaner in a healthcare facility or in a commercial/industrial setting, or demonstrated ability to perform in role.
- Demonstrate organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Capacity to work under supervision and/or independently and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective team member.
- Must be able to fulfil the physical requirements of the position.
