Join a supportive and collaborative team where you will play a key role in planning, implementing, and evaluating healthy eating and active living initiatives for children aged 6–13 and their families across South West Sydney. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of impactful health promotion programs. You will also actively engage with the local community, helping to promote important health messages and programs such as Go4Fun Online, making a meaningful difference in the health and wellbeing of families.

You’ll bring excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with a wide range of audiences, including diverse communities and stakeholders. Experience and knowledge in health promotion are essential, along with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage communities to support positive health outcomes. Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or social science or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of health promotion programs, particularly around planning, implementation and evaluation of initiatives targeting healthy eating and active living in children 6 to 13 years and their families.
  • Understanding of issues that may impact service delivery in priority populations including social disadvantage, Aboriginal communities, and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, with demonstrated ability to adapt programs and approaches to meet the needs of these groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain partnerships with other staff and government, non government and community organisations, including experience working collaboratively to support project delivery and sustainability.
  • Demonstrated digital literacy, organisational, problem solving and team skills, including the ability to use a range of digital systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, survey/data collection platforms e.g. REDCap) to plan, monitor and evaluate projects.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
