Where you'll be working

The Strategy, Innovation and Digital Health Team encompasses strategic planning functions, analytics, technology, change, and project management resources to ensure strategic allocation of resources to key organisational priorities and initiatives. Built around three key pillars, it drives and enables the delivery of key strategic and operational initiatives by developing innovative solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery. The directorate oversees the development of organisation strategies and plans, while also monitoring the implementation of such plans. This department handles SESLHD’s most pressing organisational problems and explores opportunities such as technology in Health, change and innovation and environmental sustainability practices.

The Head of Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) Program will report to the Director Strategy, Innovation and Digital Health and be responsible for leading and managing the local implementation of the SDPR and associated projects for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District SESLHD. 

The position will provide a single point of contact for all SDPR workstreams and coordinate local efforts to deliver a safe and successful transition.

The position is responsible for ensuring effective: governance and decision making; stakeholder engagement and change management; estimating, planning and delivery of SDPR workstreams and SDPR related projects within budget and timeframes. This position will also assist with design and implementation of future local resource service model and structure. 

About the Single Digital Patient Record Program - NSW Health has established a Single Digital Patient Record 

(SDPR) which will provide a secure, holistic and integrated view of the care a patient receives across the NSW Health system. The SDPR program will transform how people experience and deliver care across the state, providing benefits for the people of NSW and the NSW Health workforce regardless of their location and role. 

It will bring the state healthcare system together, unifying access to patient clinical information in one view. This will help to provide connected, transparent and safe care for any person at any public healthcare setting statewide. All 
NSW Health care teams and clinicians, no matter where they work, will securely access the same information about a patient in real time from one source.
  
This role has a District remit and as such may be located at any location across the district.
