Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience or a combination of study and work experience in frontline service delivery.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to harm reduction and the Needle Syringe Program including an awareness of the complexities and challenges involved in setting up a new NSP.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage and evaluate projects, to meet deadlines and to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders eg community members, non-government organisations, LHD Executive, government agencies and other health workers.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop, deliver and evaluate training programs.
- Understanding of health promotion and community development frameworks.
- Advanced communication and professional writing skills, including the production of high level reports.
- Willingness and ability to work in the unpredictable and sometimes volatile environment for day and evening shifts across a 7 day rotating roster.
- Current NSW driver’s licence and travel in SESLHD with willingness to work across SESLHD.
