Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification and relevant work experience
  2. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to harm reduction and the Needle Syringe Program including an awareness of the complexities and challenges involved in setting up a new NSP
  3. Demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage and evaluate projects, to meet deadlines and to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders eg community members, non-government organisations, LHD Executive, government agencies and other health workers
  4. Demonstrated capacity to develop, deliver and evaluate training programs
  5. Demonstrated understanding of health promotion and community development frameworks
  6. Advanced communication and professional writing skills, including the production of high-level reports and competence in Microsoft Outlook, data entry and use of health systems.
  7. Willingness and ability to provide frontline healthcare services in the sometimes unpredictable and occasionally volatile environment of KRC, KRC South and outreach on day and evening shifts and occasional weekends shifts
  8. Current NSW driver's license and travel in SESLHD with willingness to work across SESLHD with primary locations at the Sutherland Hospital and Kings Cross
