Genetic Counsellor Level 1/2

1. Must have an undergraduate degree in a non-nursing, non-medical discipline and hold a post graduate qualification in genetic counselling or have attained Part 1 certification in genetics counselling from the Human Genetics Society of Australasia.
2. Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
3. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the provision of genetic counselling services to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
