We’re seeking an experienced and detail-driven Secretary to join our General Paediatrics team based at John Hunter Children’s Hospital, with regular support across Belmont Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned administrator who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and values being part of a close-knit, collaborative team.

 

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to a busy clinical service. Your day will be varied and engaging, with a strong focus on:

  • Preparation and typing of clinical correspondence, including letters and scripts

  • Providing efficient and professional secretarial support to clinicians

  • Managing general administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality

  • Supporting a service that operates 7 days per week


You’ll work alongside a team of 8 dedicated professionals, where collaboration, support, and a positive team culture are at the core of everything we do.

 

About You

You are a confident and capable administrator who brings:

  • Proven typing and secretarial experience, ideally in a clinical or healthcare setting

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and administrative systems

  • The ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks in a busy environment

  • A team-first mindset, with the flexibility to adapt and support across locations
