As General Manager, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, you will provide executive leadership and have overall accountability for the operation and performance of the hospital. You will lead clinical service delivery, set operational priorities and work with clinicians, leaders and partners to deliver safe, high-quality and sustainable care.

 

You will drive service integration, patient flow and contemporary models of care, while building strong partnerships across hospital, community, virtual and primary care services to improve outcomes for patients and communities.

 

With accountability for workforce, financial and operational performance, you will foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture that empowers our people to deliver exceptional care.

 

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $240,651 to $266,345 per annum (SOORT 2026), with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you 


We are seeking an accomplished and values-driven executive leader who can support the work of NSW Health with:

 

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within a large and complex service delivery environment, together with a strong understanding of health service operations and clinical governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams, build organisational capability and create an inclusive, accountable and engaged workplace culture.
  • Strong strategic and operational leadership skills, with experience improving service performance, patient flow, integration, quality and outcomes within a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships and work collaboratively with clinicians, executives, communities and internal and external stakeholders to achieve whole-of-system outcomes.
  • Strong financial, workforce and business management capability, with demonstrated experience delivering sustainable outcomes and leading service improvement and organisational change.

 

You will also hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or have equivalent relevant experience.
