You'll become part of a collaborative and respectful maintenance team that works together to keep our healthcare facility operating at its best. About the Role

As a Handyperson / Gardener, you'll play an important role in maintaining the hospital's gardens, grounds and facilities. Your day will be varied, combining horticultural work with general maintenance duties to ensure the site remains safe, functional and visually appealing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining gardens and grounds through mowing, pruning, weeding and watering.
  • Performing irrigation system maintenance and repairs.
  • Completing general handyman tasks and minor maintenance works.
  • Working safely at heights when required.
  • Assisting other maintenance trades across the facility.
  • Contributing to a clean, safe and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors and staff.


This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

 

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering quality work. You'll bring:

  • Experience in horticulture, gardening or grounds maintenance.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A commitment to workplace safety and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW.


A qualification in Horticulture and ability working at heights are highly regarded.

What you'll be doing

Provide a variety of Services associated with the maintenance, repair and/or modification of hospital buildings, plant, equipment, grounds and gardens. Maintain, repair and modify hospital buildings, plant, equipment and grounds to ensure minimal disruption to the Facility.
