Selection Criteria:
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical fitting or equivalent and knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance of a large building complex or hospital with proven ability to work and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team of trade, non-trade, and contract staff to efficiently deliver maintenance services in a busy work environment.
- Proven skills in problem solving, including the ability to interpret building and services plans.
- Hold a boiler attendant license or willing to obtain one after commencement.
- Experienced in the use of tools associated with fitter’s work including lathes, bench drills, grinders, oxy and electric welders.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and work order systems. Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively personally and within a team environment in the workplace.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Work, Health and Safety and preferably hold a current White Card license.
- Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
