About the role
The Financial & Asset Accountant position is responsible for coordinating Asset accounting processes with the WNSWLHD, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and guidelines and providing advice to key stakeholders in decision making.
You will deliver month-end and annual ledger close processes, prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance documentation.
You will provide support and assist in strategic planning and process improvement across the Local Health District (LHD). The role will be involved in the development and monitoring of action plans, resolving system issues, and provide staff training to strengthen financial service delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Coordinate asset accounting functions including budget forecasting, asset revaluations, and lifecycle reporting to meet statutory obligations. Deliver expert advice on financial compliance for property, plant, and equipment, ensuring alignment with legislative, policy, and customer standards.
