What you’ll be doing
As a Finance Manager, you’ll play an active role in supporting cost centre managers and senior leaders by providing accurate, timely financial reporting and advice. Day to day, you will:

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting across assigned portfolios.
  • Analyse financial performance, highlight variances, and support managers in implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide insights and financial modelling to guide decision-making.
  • Monitor restricted and trust funds to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Oracle and other NSW Health systems.
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders including senior executives, Ministry of Health, and external auditors.

This role is designed for someone who has developed a strong foundation in management accounting and is eager to expand their influence, deepen their expertise, and take on new challenges with guidance from a supportive team. 


What you’ll need to succeed
We’re looking for a finance professional who is:

  • Experienced in management accounting, including budgeting, cash flow, and forecasting.
  • Analytical with a keen eye for detail and the ability to explain complex data clearly.
  • Skilled in using Oracle and Microsoft Excel.
  • An effective communicator who enjoys building strong working relationships and supporting others to achieve results.
