Join a high-performing finance team and play a key role in shaping strategic financial outcomes across the organisation. This position leads the development and management of budgets, forecasts, month-end processes, and financial reporting while providing expert financial analysis, workforce (FTE) modelling, and insights to support informed decision-making.
Working closely with operational stakeholders, Capital Works, Infrastructure and Engineering teams, this role drives financial strategies that optimise resources, enhance efficiency, strengthen capital governance, and support sustainable revenue generation. An ongoing focus on continuous improvement and financial capability development will contribute to stronger organisational performance and value-based outcomes.
Are You the Right Fit?
The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with advanced skills in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, workforce (FTE) analysis, and strategic financial modelling. Success in this role requires the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, influence decision-making through expert financial advice, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to support organisational priorities.
Demonstrated experience in evaluating business cases, supporting capital projects, strengthening financial governance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives will be highly regarded. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and NSW Government and Ministry of Health financial policies, combined with excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, will support success in delivering high-quality financial and business outcomes.
Selection Criteria

- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or other relevant discipline and membership (or working towards) of an appropriate accounting organisation or equivalent relevant experience in a large, complex organisation.
- Describe your experience in developing and managing budgets, forecasts and month-end financial reporting within a large and complex organisation. Please provide a recent example.
- Tell us about a time you partnered with senior stakeholders to provide financial advice that influenced a strategic or operational decision. What was your approach and what was the outcome?
- This role requires the ability to analyse financial and workforce (FTE)performance, identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement. Can you provide an example where your analysis led to a positive business outcome?

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
