The Role
  
Based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, this position is set to improve immunisation coverage in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
   
The Aboriginal Immunisation Liaison Officer will be responsible for contributing to the safe and effective delivery of immunisations to the Aboriginal Community. They will be expected to provide education, network and build relationships between relevant parties including communities, parents, public health units, Aboriginal Medical Services, other immunisation providers and other stakeholders with the aim of improving and maintaining high vaccination rates.

Ideal Candidate

  • Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31 (2H) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. This is an Aboriginal Identified position, the applicant must be of Aboriginal decent by proof of Aboriginality, identify as Aboriginal and be accepted as such by community.
  • Has relevant Tertiary qualification and/or experience with Aboriginal people and/or communities towards better health outcome.
  • Ability to develop and foster positive relationships with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Communities
  • Holds a current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
