About The Opportunity 

The Facility Planner is the clinical advisor for CW&I projects, working closely with stakeholders and users to ensure clinical requirements are met in line with established policies, guidelines, and principles. The role also supports the development of the operational readiness plan and collaborates with the design and project management team throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires high-level nursing experience and offers flexible work practices, including two days of work from home each week.

 

What You'll Be Doing
The Facility Planner carry out nursing practice in accordance with legislation, common law, Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, Code of Professional Conduct for Nurse, the Australian Nursing Council Inc (ANCI) Code of Ethics Australia and take action to rectify any unsafe nursing/clinical practice or unprofessional behaviour in the workplace.

The facility planner uses their broad multidisciplinary clinical experience and expertise to work with clinical teams to ensure that the planning and design work of new facilities and the refurbishment of existing facilities comply with Government guidelines to provide high quality facilities for the provision of contemporary clinical services.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
  3. Ability to develop guidelines, procedures and best practice standards.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of the facility planning process, including Australasian Health Facility Guidelines.
  5. Knowledge of or experience in project management.
  6. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
