Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care. 

 

As Executive Support Officer to the Office of the General Manager Nepean Hospital, you will play a pivitol role in the seamless communication, alignment and coordination across all operational and strategic activities with Nepean Hospital and its services. As an integral member of the executive team, you will be part of the day-to-day operations and demonstrates leadership behaviours that foster a workplace culture grounded in CORE values, continuous learning, mutual respect, and mindful practice, with consistent adherence to the Code of Conduct. Coordinating operational activities and advancing the service’s corporate priorities contributing to consistent and meaningful delivery of exceptional patient care across the district will be key to your success in this role.

What you will bring to the role

  • Describe a situation where you demonstrated strong leadership and sound decision‑making while managing a team in a complex health or public sector environment. In your response, outline how you handled conflict, supported team performance to improve workflow efficiency, engaged collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes, and strengthened communication processes.
