The Financial and Corporate Services Division plays a vital role in driving financial performance, compliance and reporting, corporate services, and data-informed decision-making across the public health system. As a key steward of sustainable resource allocation, the Division ensures funding is effectively managed to support patient care. With oversight of budgeting, expenditure, and financial reporting, the team works closely with health leaders and government to strengthen system performance and deliver real outcomes for the community.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic executive to lead NSW Health’s system financial performance to support the delivery of high quality, safe, efficient and effective health care to the people of NSW 

 

This role will be located in St Leonards

The Executive Director, System Financial Performance and Deputy Chief Financial Officer plays a lead role in establishing and maintaining the frameworks and processes for strategic financial management within the portfolio. The Branch provides expert financial management analysis and advice on reporting, budgeting, funding, revenue and costing services to comply with NSW Health, NSW Treasury, statutory requirements and to drive the financial performance of the NSW Health System.

 

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 2, Public Service Senior Executive (PSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $325,169 to $362,588 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

 

  • Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in accountancy, economics, commerce, finance or a related discipline and membership of a recognised Australian accounting body.
  • Substantial and proven experience in financial management at a senior level.
