Inverell District Hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility offering emergency, maternity, surgical, rehabilitation, and specialist outpatient services. The team is supportive, close-knit, and dedicated to providing excellent care to the community.
About the role
Bring your perioperative skills and passion for rural nursing to a diverse and rewarding role in our Inverell Hospital Operating Theatres.
Our theatre operates three days a fortnight, performing endoscopy, minor gynaecology, dental, and ophthalmology procedures, alongside a 24/7 obstetric service. We also run an infusion clinic one day per week, providing further variety and scope for skill development.
You’ll be part of a small but dedicated perioperative team that supports one another and adapts to changing clinical needs. When required, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to other areas of the hospital, broadening your experience and strengthening your clinical confidence.
This role is perfect for a nurse who enjoys working autonomously within a supportive environment, loves the variety of rural healthcare, and wants to make a genuine impact in their community.
About you
You’re an adaptable, proactive, and compassionate Enrolled Nurse with:
Perioperative experience and a strong interest in developing your skills in this specialty
A passion for rural health and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
The ability to work collaboratively across departments when clinical needs arise
A team-focused approach, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn
