About The Opportunity
Join the dedicated perioperative team at Scott Memorial Hospital and enjoy the unique opportunity to work in a supportive rural hospital environment where teamwork, collaboration, and patient-centred care are at the heart of everything we do. Located in the beautiful town of Scone, around 100km south of Tamworth, this role offers the chance to develop broad perioperative skills while being part of a close-knit team that values connection, professional support, and regular social activities. You will work across the full perioperative continuum in a dynamic rural theatre environment. This varied role will see you supporting all perioperative areas, including instrument and circulating (Scrub/ Scout), anaesthetic, and post anaesthetic care (PACU) nursing across procedures such as endoscopy, minor general surgery, and minor gynaecological surgery. You will also assist with additional services including infusion therapies and the twice-monthly Pre Anaesthetic Clinic (PAC). Due to the flexible nature of the service, you may also provide support to the medical ward and Emergency Department as required.

 

About You

Current Authority to Practice as a Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
✅ Strong clinical judgement and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise competing demands
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
✅ Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
