The service includes a 2-bed Emergency Department, 10-bed acute ward and 15-bed aged care unit, offering you exposure to a wide range of presentations in one close‑knit setting. About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse (EN), you’ll provide safe, person‑centred nursing care under the guidance and direction of Registered Nurses (RN). Your work will span acute, emergency and residential aged care, giving you diverse, hands‑on experience every shift. You’ll assist with assessment, planning and delivery of care, support activities of daily living, administer medications (if endorsed) in line with policy, and contribute to clinical documentation and handover to ensure continuity of care.
This role offers genuine opportunities to develop and build emergency clinical skills, supported by experienced RNs, an on‑site Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and a Transitional Nurse Practitioner (TNP), with a Medical Officer on call 24/7. It’s an excellent fit for an EN who wants variety, challenge and the chance to grow their scope in a supportive rural environment.
About You
You’re a medication‑endorsed Enrolled Nurse (where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA, who is keen to make a real difference in a small rural community. You bring a person‑centred approach, communicate sensitively with patients, residents and families, and value being part of a multidisciplinary team. You’re adaptable, organised and willing to learn, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
You bring:
✨Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA (medication endorsed where applicable)
✨Good time management, adaptability and a strong willingness to learn and expand your skills
✨Ability to work within a person‑centred, multidisciplinary team across acute, emergency and aged care settings
✨Respect for patients’ rights and dignity, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
✨An interest in developing emergency and rural generalist skills in a supported environment
