Located within a modern, state-of-the-art facility, our unit provides a supportive environment with contemporary resources and advanced systems that enable you to deliver safe, high-quality care while growing your professional practice.

The Hunter Joint Centre is a specialised orthopaedic unit with 12 funded beds, with flexibility to expand during periods of increased demand. You’ll be joining a welcoming, inclusive, and highly experienced nursing team that brings together a strong blend of medical and surgical expertise. Our multidisciplinary team including Orthopaedic Specialists, Registered Nurses, a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Educator, and Allied Health professionals work closely together to support one another and achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working alongside Registered Nurses, fellow Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and Allied Health staff. The unit is well regarded for delivering best practice care for joint replacement patients through the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) model, focusing on early recovery, effective pain management, and timely mobilisation to support positive patient experiences.

You’ll be supported every step of the way, reporting to NUM 5A and benefiting from a comprehensive hospital and ward-based orientation program.
