What you'll be doing 
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit, you will provide safe, person centred care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, contributing to positive patient experiences and outcomes.

• Deliver planned and individualised nursing care for endoscopy patients
• Work within scope of practice and escalate concerns appropriately
• Monitor, assess and respond to patient observations and clinical changes
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and manage unit resources

Essential Criteria

Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 

 

Selection Criteria

  1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification for administration of medication (including intravenous medication administration).

  2. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an Endoscopy or Perioperative environment or acute care setting.

  3. Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment with a focus on delivering organised and prioritised care, to achieve the most effective and efficient outcomes for the patient.

  4. Proven effective and open communication skills, both written and verbal, that build greater cooperation and confidence in care delivery

  5. Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers, and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of an enrolled nurse.

  6. Demonstrate critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and escalation, whilst effectively follow directions.

  7. Proven commitment to continuing professional development.
