Join the John Hunter Emergency Department, a leading tertiary referral centre and the only Trauma Referral Centre in NSW outside metropolitan centres. Our Emergency Department provides comprehensive adult and paediatric emergency care, including trauma, resuscitation, acute care, fast track and short stay services. We care for a diverse patient population including neurological, cardiac, orthopaedic, paediatric and mental health presentations. With more than 85,000 presentations annually and a major hospital redevelopment underway, including a new Emergency Department opening in 2026, this is an exciting time to join a service committed to growth, innovation and excellence in patient care
About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide safe, compassionate and patient-centred care in collaboration with registered nurses and the multidisciplinary team. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to support high-quality outcomes for patients and their families.

About You
You are an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You bring strong communication skills, emotional empathy, and a genuine dedication to supporting patients and their families.
You will also have:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous learning
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic emergency setting
