About the Role

Maitland Hospital is looking for enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our supportive and dynamic nursing team on 5B. If you’re passionate about delivering patient-centred care and enjoy working in a fast-paced hospital environment, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your skills and make a real difference.

This role offers the chance to work across our general and medical wards, providing high-quality, individualised care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Recent experience in similar settings is highly desirable, and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to positive patient outcomes every day.

You’ll be supported through tailored orientation and training, including online modules and supernumerary time, ongoing professional development, a supportive Nursing Unit Manager and Education Team, and career growth opportunities within the Hunter New England Local Health District.

In 5B, we provide exceptional care for patients in an acute general medical ward. 5B is known for the kind and patient-centered care we provide. We work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach for our patients.  The role is support by the NUM, team leaders, dedicated ward and after hours educators. 5B is known for its culture of openness and approachability, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and professional development opportunities.

About You

You are someone who:
Holds current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (medication endorsed where applicable)
Brings recent clinical experience, ideally in a general or medical ward
Demonstrates person-centred, evidence-based practice
Works collaboratively, respects diversity, and communicates sensitively
Takes initiative in your role, follows through, and ensures no task is left unfinished
