Join eHealth NSW as a Virtual App/Desktop Platform (VADP) Engineer and become a key player in a dynamic team. You will be central to the management, maintenance, and robust operation of our Citrix platforms, a foundational service delivering over 120,000 virtual application sessions around the clock to healthcare professionals across NSW Health. 
 

This role offers a compelling pathway that allows direct influence and professional growth within our Citrix landscape. By embracing DevOps practices and agile methodologies across diverse projects, you will actively help shape our platform, services, and product strategy. Working alongside a skilled team, you will directly impact customer satisfaction and contribute meaningfully to eHealth NSW's vital mission of enhancing patient care.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Review and participate in the planning and implementation of technology roadmaps, collaborating with senior engineers to ensure delivery aligns with customer needs and organisational strategies.
  • Contribute and extend the operational management, support, service improvement, automation, security, and protection of products and associated services in the Citrix Cloud, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix NetScaler Application Delivery Controller (ADC), Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM) technology framework.
  • Participate in delivery of migration, consolidation and transformation activities – including operational improvement and investigation activities where necessary.
  • Contribute and develop supporting technical and non-technical documentation to create clarity and transparency surrounding all deliverables.
  • Research and maintain team expertise on emerging trends and technologies, contribute to building streamlined ways of working for the capability across eHealth NSW.

 

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is proficient in Citrix platforms and associated services: Citrix Cloud, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix NetScaler Application Delivery Controller (ADC), Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM) technology framework and DevOps capabilities.  
  • Maintain operational stability and support through development of knowledge, guiding principles and methodologies to others. While participating in the management and maintenance activities that provides service operational stability.
  • Takes initiative in reviews and contribute toward the product development, service design, planning and implementation of complex systems architecture, technical guidance, advisory activities. Helping align the build, operation and running of products and/or platforms in alignment to relevant technology roadmaps.  
  • Can establish collaborative and influential relationships with stakeholders, customers, and colleagues to achieve team goals.
