What you'll be doing 
Take the lead in transforming emergency care as an Emergency Department Nurse Navigator, streamlining patient journeys and supporting high-quality, team-based care. This is a 12 hour rotating roster position. 
Key responsibilities are to:

• Guide real-time patient flow and clinical decision-making
• Lead and collaborate across nursing, medical and allied teams
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance care efficiency
• Support access targets while ensuring patient safety and experience
• Be a proactive leader in a fast-paced, high-impact ED environment

Essential Criteria:

• Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (NSW Registered Nurse – Division 1)

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated understanding of the different Emergency Department’s models of care and an understanding of the Emergency Key Performance Indicators
2. Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem-solving, formulating new approaches and implementing strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes
3. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with other healthcare workers, clients and carers
4. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail with proven ability to adapt to dynamic work environment
5. Suitable post graduate qualifications and/or experience in field as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
6. Demonstrated application and understanding of patient flow principals
