Are you are an experienced and hands-on leader with a passion for supporting people? At The Sutherland Hospital, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated administrative manager for our Emergency and Medical Imaging departments. In this key role, you’ll shape and streamline operations that directly support patient care and hospital performance, and support administrative staff across these two key clinical areas.

What you'll be doing

This position is responsible for providing support services for the management of emergency and medical imaging department administration and administrative staff. The manager will understand and improve administrative workflows, lead recruitment, orientation and performance development for the team, and work with the Administrative Service Manager to ensure the services are meeting organisational objectives.

Selection Criteria
  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in management or relevant equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of the processes of admitted and non-admitted patients within a healthcare facility
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in performing a range of management and administrative tasks within allocated timeframe
  4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare briefings, reports etc for Emergency department and Medical Imaging services
  6. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to meet current and emerging business needs
  7. Demonstrated high level competence in the use of computer applications relevant to the management of Emergency department and Medical Imaging e.g. RIS/PAC, Firstnet, iPM, eMR, scheduling and billing applications.
  8. Demonstrated ability to determine priorities for others and delegate tasks to achieve work objectives.
