About the Role

Sydney Local Health District is one of the fastest growing Local Health Districts in New South Wales. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

  

The primary role of the Hospital Electrician is to carry out in a safe and professional manner, all electrical maintenance, inspections, testing and installation works throughout hospital facilities as directed. This includes, but is not limited to, all plant and equipment, control systems, monitoring systems, building electrical reticulation, and portable devices used or owned by Sydney Local Health District. The Hospital Electrician may be required to undertake these works at any facility within the District.

Ideal Candidate
  • Extensive experience post apprenticeship in electrical reticulation installations, plant/equipment maintenance. 
  • Possess Electrical Qualified Supervisors Certificate. 
  • The ability to interpret and utilise electrical wiring and schematic drawings in equipment installation and repairs. 

     

  • A working knowledge of the current relevant Australian Standards, particularly AS3000. 
  • Willingness to participate in QI activities. 
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
