The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of Working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.
The CHW Engineering and Maintenance Services Department aims to provide high quality customer focused repair and preventative maintenance services to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and other site facilities to support the safe, efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services. It is also responsible for ensuring Hospital operations satisfy the Government Energy Management Policy (GEMP) and Hospital Assets are managed in accordance to DOH guidelines and Health AMMS (Assets Management Maintenance System) requirements.
The Electrical Engineer in the Engineering and Maintenance Department is engaged in the planning, organising and controlling of maintenance and repair activities in respect of CHW's electrical services.
The Electrical Engineer strives to ensure the Engineering and Maintenance Services Department consistently provides a high quality customer focused electrical service to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and offsite facilities to support the safe, efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
The Electrical Engineer co-ordinates CHW electrical services maintenance contractors, development, modification, dissemination and implementation of policies & procedures for the procurement of all CHW requirements for electrical tenders, quotations & contracts.
The Electrical Engineer acts as a resource for electrical services matters and principal building management advisor for future CHW development.
The Electrical Engineer actively participates in energy management with a focus on environmental change that both benefits CHW and the Community and realisation of cost savings is the expected outcome.
