Lorikeet Early Learning Centre, St George Hospital at Kogarah was established in 1990 by the NSW Government. It provides care and education to children of parents working within the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), particularly at St George Hospital. We are an employer-sponsored, centre based service. This position is Monday to Friday, 8.5 hour shifts (shifts start between 6.30 and 9.45am) with monthly ADOs.
SESLHD is dedicated to providing a safe environment for all children and young people. SESLHD is implementing the Child Safe Standards to make all of their services safer for children and young people, because child safety is everybody’s business.

Selection Criteria
- Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care or equivalent ( as approved by ACECQA).
- Qualifications equivalent to HLTAID012 ( Provide first aid in an education and care setting ) (as approved by ACECQA - must cover Provide First Aid and emergency response to asthma and anaphylaxis).
- Experience working in an approved ECEC service with children 0-5 years.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting curriculum development and documenting children's learning and development.
- Sound, practical working knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- Understanding of and commitment to providing a child safe environment.
- Appropriate written and oral communication skills to enable you to communicate effectively through verbal and written means with management, colleagues and families.
