About the Role
Sydney Local Health District is one of the fastest growing Local Health Districts in New South Wales. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
The position of SLHD Transport Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective transportation of patients, staff and goods within and external to SLHD as directed by the SLHD Transport management team.
The role includes:
- Driving Staff in the Shuttle bus.
- Patient transport by Stretcher between facilities and to external locations.
- Courier duties internal and External to SLHD locations across Sydney metro.
- Some country travel and some relocation of items and furniture as needed.
- Assisting Fleet services with vehicle movements and deliveries.

Ideal Candidate
- Hold an unrestricted NSW Class “LR” drivers licence.
- On-call availability for 7 days a week between 05:00 and 23:00.
- Knowledge and understanding of manual handling techniques and OH&S, with a demonstrable ability to work in a team environment.
- Previous experience with patient transport and Stretcher use.
