About The Opportunity 
South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is seeking a talented and dynamic Data Stream & HERO ID Coordinator to complement the Data and Analytics team within Digital Health.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding collaborator and pro-active problem-solver, with excellent analysis and documentation skills to resolve data related issues and drive optimal business outcomes.




What You'll Be Doing
The District Data Streams & HERO Coordinator will focus on ensuring that data submitted to Ministry of Health is compliant, accurate, comprehensive and robust. Relevant submissions include the Admitted patient, Non-admitted patient, Sub-acute patient and Mental Health patient collections. The role is additionally responsible for the active management of the HERO registry. 

Effective collaboration with stakeholders is a key success factor for the position. Close liaison is required with patient administration staff at facilities covering admitted, emergency and non-admitted care. Ensuring an accurate and complete representation of SWSLHD activity supports performance management, reporting, benchmarking, funding and health outcomes.

Liverpool Hospital Eastern Campus is an integral part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct, focusing on education, research, and specialised healthcare services.

 

The Eastern Campus houses the Liverpool Education and Research Centre, which includes conference facilities, seminar rooms, and a computer room, providing a hub for medical education and professional development.

 

This campus supports various training programs and events, such as advanced trauma days and emergency resuscitation courses, enhancing the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals.

 

Located in Warwick Farm, the Eastern Campus is easily accessible and plays a crucial role in fostering innovation and excellence in healthcare within the South Western Sydney Local Health District.

  1. Qualifications in Information Management, Computer Science, and/or relevant extensive work experience in a similar role.
  2. Describe your knowledge and experience in the use of Cerner EMR including PAS, FirstNet and Scheduling.
  3. Outline your understanding of the requirements for the submission of data to mandatory NSW Health Collections.
  4. How do you use your highly developed analytical and numerical skills to interpret information and apply contextually in support of continuous improvement?
  5. Describe your extensive experience in extracting and analysing data, and in report development using a variety of software and systems e.g. MS access, SQL, MS excel, word.
  6. How do you utilise your excellent written and verbal communication skills to build rapport, influence and negotiate successful outcomes?
  7. Provide examples of your experience in documenting processes, preparing and delivering presentations / educational material.
  8. How do you problem-solve, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, both autonomously and within a team environment?
