About the role:
Are you ready to shape the future of healthcare in New South Wales? This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to lead statewide service planning for the public health system in NSW. You’ll lead a small team to drive service configuration and investment strategies for health services, integrating with other statewide initiatives and strategies, and working in close collaboration with stakeholders across Local Health Districts, Speciality Health Networks, and other NSW Health organisations.
In a dedicated team of professionals and infrastructure, incorporating emerging technologies, specialty service needs, and population health priorities. Working in close collaboration with stakeholders across Local Health Districts and statewide initiatives, you’ll champion a transparent and coordinated planning approach overseen by the Ministry of Health. This is your chance to influence meaningful change and improve outcomes for communities across NSW.
This is an ongoing, full time, Health Manager Level 6, starting salary from $189,878 - $207,381 plus Super, with a 40-hour work week.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading a small team of project and planning officers to implement a statewide planning framework and develop statewide service plans
- Managing complex statewide planning processes to give effect to organisational strategies and priorities
- Providing high level planning and policy analysis and advice to NSW Health executives
- Championing the integration of planning functions and maturing capability of integrated planning for NSW Health in collaboration with branch colleagues and other NSW Health stakeholders.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and committed individual who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Extensive experience in health service planning in a large, complex health system
- Superior interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
- A deep understanding of the complexities of public health systems, policy frameworks, and service delivery models in NSW
- A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
